Baby Chimpanzee “Hear no Evil” is part of the Baby Apes range of sculptures.  It now has two new companions, “Speak no Evil” and “See no Evil“, these two new sculptures were added to the range for Spring 2022.

Like us, chimps are highly social animals, they care for their offspring for years and can live to be over 50. In their habitat in the forests of Central Africa, chimpanzees spend most of their days in the treetops. They are clever animals, using tools to eat and drink such as sticks to fish termites out of mounds and bunches of leaves to soak up drinking water.

Chimpanzees are our closest cousins and we share about 98% of our genes. Therefore these sculptures have been designed to have a humanistic and playful demeanour about them. The three chimps are based upon the Japanese proverb, “hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil”, but with a playful twist.  They are the Cheeky Monkeys of the Edge collection!
